My friend and favorite local songwriter Steve Simpson will be hosting Charlotte's Randy Franklin and Lake Norman's Fiona McAllister on May 14th. This will be a stellar night of original music and I'm sorry that I will be tied up elsewhere. Don't miss this one. They are three of our best! 6:30-8:00 PM. About the Songwriters:

Randy Franklin is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Charlotte, NC, who has toured the southeast for decades, with his former band Crisis, and currently with Randy Franklin & The Sardines. He has recorded two solo albums and has recently released 5 singles, which have enjoyed airplay on several regional radio stations. His song “I Like It When You’re Here” won WSGE radio’s “91 Seconds of Fame” contest in 2023. When he’s not in the studio or on the stage, you can find Randy organizing charity benefit shows to help fight homelessness and poverty in his community. www.randyfranklinmusic.com.

Fiona McAllister is a singer-songwriter from Denver NC. She has released a CD called "Stained Glass Wings” and several singles. Fiona's music features tight lyrics and flowing melodies in a variety of styles. "I want my songs to take people somewhere they didn't expect to go and leave them feeling uplifted." Steve Simpson has been writing songs as a hobby for 25 years and performs them regularly at acoustic music venues in the Carolinas. In 2006 he released his first CD, Better Late”; in 2013 he released his second CD, “Dusty Lawn Chairs”; and in 2021 he released his third CD, “The Creek.” Steve is the coordinator of Southern Songwriters Association.
